ConnectED Professional Development Series

ArSAA ConnectED is a virtual professional development initiative offering monthly webinars designed specifically for student affairs professionals. Each session covers key topics in student affairs and essential professional skills, providing practical strategies, insights, and tools to support growth and effectiveness in the field. ConnectED creates an opportunity for professionals to learn, engage, and connect with peers across the region, fostering a dynamic community of practice while staying up-to-date on emerging trends and best practices in student affairs.

The ConnectED series will start with a conflict management training offered by Zackery Tucker, dean of students at Arkansas State University - Beebe.

Navigating Conflict in a Learning Community.

Thursday, March 19, 2026, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

In an age of digital isolation and hyper-division, many students and emerging professionals are unprepared for civil discourse and unmet expectations. This session helps participants develop strategies to guide constructive conflict, foster communication, empathy, and critical thinking, and model effective engagement. It equips educators and professionals to support students and colleagues in building resilience, collaboration, and respectful, supportive learning and work environments.
